Atleti: In Defense of Our Interests
From the Los 50 supporters group, we express our concern regarding the recent controversial refereeing decision that affected Atlético de Madrid. We consider the disallowed goal unacceptable, especially due to inconsistencies in the communication and application of the VAR protocol.
The explanations offered by UEFA only increase our doubts about the legality of the decision. The speed with which the play was sanctioned, without a thorough review of the images by the referee, is alarming, creating uncertainty as to whether the alleged infringement actually existed.
Furthermore, we deeply regret the attitude of certain Madrid media outlets, which seem to systematically favor the other club in the city, belittling Atleti and its fans. This situation causes us deep unease, as we feel unfairly treated.
Therefore, we demand that Club Atlético de Madrid exhaust all possible legal avenues to defend its interests and those of its loyal fans. We cannot allow unjustified and possibly erroneous decisions, which contravene the established protocol, to harm the team. We trust that the club will take the necessary measures to clarify what happened and defend the honor and sportsmanship of Atleti. ¡Aúpa Atleti!
