Simeone boosts attack with Giuliano on the right flank
Atlético Madrid returned to training on Monday afternoon after a weekend off granted by the coaching staff. Diego Simeone focused on practicing offensive plays, with Griezmann, Barrios, Koke, and Lemar as ‘generators’ and Lino and Giuliano arriving from the wings.
It was surprising to see the youngster Giuliano on the right flank, but without Llorente, Molina, or Riquelme, the Argentine coach experimented with him in that position. Atlético lined up with: Giuliano, Witsel, Lenglet, Galán, Lino; Koke, Barrios, Lemar, Griezmann; and Correa, maintaining the 5-3-2 that turns into a 5-4-1 in defense and a 4-3-3 in attack.
