Appeal reduces Atlético's sanction to one match for derby incidents!
The Appeals Committee has decided to reduce the sanction against Atlético de Madrid to one match of partial closure of the lower stand of the south end of the Metropolitano stadium, following the incidents of the derby on September 29 against Real Madrid.
The original sanction was for three matches, but Appeals has decided to reduce it to one, maintaining a fine of 3,000 euros for the infraction of article 107.1 of the RFEF Disciplinary Code. The sanction will affect sectors 127, 128, 129, 130, 131, 132 and 133 of the stadium. This sanction is unrelated to the other sanction that hangs over Atlético de Madrid, which is the one promoted by the Anti-Violence Commission, which has proposed the closure for two weeks of the entire stadium and a fine of 60,000 euros to the mattress club.
