Atlético de Madrid punishes its fan section with five games without tickets
Atlético de Madrid has decided not to sell tickets to any member of the fan section in the next five away games of the first team. This measure has been taken due to the incidents caused by some members of the Frente Atlético in the last derby against Real Madrid.
The punished members will not be able to buy tickets for the visiting area in the games against Betis (October 27), UE Vic (October 31), PSG (November 6), Mallorca (November 10) and Sparta Prague (November 26). In total, two league games, two Champions League games and one Copa del Rey game.
The club has adopted this decision due to the ‘gravity of the situation’ and recalls that ’this decision is motivated by the two serious sanctions that the club has received in recent days as a result of various incidents caused by a small minority of fans’. UEFA imposed a sanction for the Nazi salutes of some Atlético fans in the La Luz stadium in Lisbon in the last game played by Atlético in the top European competition.
