Samu Omorodion shines with Spain U21 and puts his transfer from Atlético de Madrid in doubt
Samu Omorodion, former Atlético de Madrid striker, has scored four goals in 45 minutes with Spain U21 against Malta. The player, who now belongs to Porto, has signed a contract until 2029 and has a release clause of 100 million euros.
Atlético transferred 50% of the player this summer for 15 million euros and the Portuguese have the option to buy more percentage in the coming years. The decision of Atlético de Madrid to transfer Samu is in doubt after his exhibition with U21 and his seven goals in Porto, including two against Manchester United in the Europa League.
The player has declared that he did not feel part of Atlético and that he cried many nights. In the same match, Roberto Fernández also scored, current striker of Sporting de Braga and who was on the radar of Atlético de Madrid to reinforce his reserve team.
