Atlético de Madrid: reduced sanction after appeal
Atlético de Madrid has received a reduced sanction after the appeal presented by the club. The Appeals Committee has decided to partially close the stadium for one game and has imposed a fine of 3,000 euros. The club had defended that the original sanction was ‘disproportionate’.
Atlético de Madrid has reiterated its condemnation of the incidents that occurred during the derby against Real Madrid and has pointed out that they are working together with the police to identify the culprits. The red and white team will suffer its capacity limitation during the next game against Leganés.
