Atlético Academy shines in Europe
Atlético Madrid’s Academy made a strong start in the Youth League with a convincing win over Leipzig. The red and white talents, led by Rayane Belaid and Omar Janneh, showed their quality on the pitch. Atlético quickly took the lead with a goal from Omar in the 12th minute.
The second goal came after a perfect counter-attack, with Rayane’s class to pause and pass to Julio Díaz, who left a wonderful cross for Romeo Hueso’s arrival. The red and white superiority continued in the second half, with several magical actions from Rayane and Julio, and a penalty goal from Omar.
The bench also contributed, with a goal from Sergio Esteban after a meritorious action from Romeo Hueso. Atlético showed great superiority, with an impeccable collective effort and individual names like Dani Muñoz, another European Sub-19 champion.
