Simone Scuffet stands firm on decision to reject Atlético de Madrid
Simone Scuffet, an Italian goalkeeper who is currently playing for Cagliari, was once considered the future of the Italian national team’s goalkeeping. At just 17 years old, he had the opportunity to sign for Atlético de Madrid, but he turned down the offer.
In an interview with Corriere della Sera, Scuffet reiterated that he does not regret his decision and that he wanted to continue his career in Udine. Despite being labeled as an exceptional talent, Scuffet did not let the expectations influence him and has had a successful career with several teams.
