Atlético de Madrid to refund fans affected by partial closure of Metropolitano
Atlético de Madrid has decided to refund the amount corresponding to the match against Leganés next Sunday to the fans affected by the partial closure of the Metropolitano.
The club understands that the majority of the fans located in the south stand behaved correctly during the derby and that many followers who had nothing to do with the throwing of lighters at Courtois will be affected.
Atlético had already expressed its determination to have zero tolerance for the violent and punish those responsible for the incidents that forced the match to be stopped, exonerating the rest of the fans from facts that did not represent the whole. Therefore, the club has opted not to punish the fans located in the south stand who behave appropriately, refunding them the proportional part of the match they had paid for in their subscription.
