“Atlético Madrid strengthens commitment to Guayaquil Academy”
Atlético Madrid president Enrique Cerezo visited the club’s Academy in Guayaquil, Ecuador. The Academy, which was inaugurated in July 2023, has monitored more than 10,000 children in the last year.
At the event, Cerezo highlighted the importance of the project and his commitment to the Junta de Beneficencia de Guayaquil. A deal was also signed for the Academy to manage 23 of the 30 municipal pitches in the city. Guayaquil’s mayor, Aquiles Álvarez, emphasized that the project not only forms football professionals, but also great human beings.
