Female Passion in the Heart of Atleti
The Metropolitano vibrated with the third edition of the ‘Atleti in Female’ days, an event that celebrates the fundamental role of women in the rojiblanco club. From the stands to the offices, passing through the pitch, the women of Atleti are synonymous with courage, heart, and pride.
The day, led by María José Navarro, featured the participation of prominent representatives of supporters’ clubs such as Isabel Esteban (San Sebastián de los Reyes), Carmen García (Germany), Eva Escudero (Las Rojiblancas), and Belén Martínez (Las Colchoneras).
Their testimonies revealed the evolution of the role of women in the fan base over the years, recalling that the old Vicente Calderón was always a welcoming place for them, transmitting their passion from generation to generation.
Inés Ronda, president of Las Colchoneras, claimed the importance of the female fan base and had an emotional memory for . Lola Romero, director of the Women’s team, presented the Rubén Caravaca award to Paloma del Río, a pioneer of sports journalism, in recognition of her career.
Amanda, the great captain, received the Almudena Grandes award. Miriam Gutiérrez and Jero García shared their vision on equality in sport, highlighting the common feeling that unites all Atlético fans.
