Memphis Depay Apologizes After Drunk Driving Conviction in Monaco
Memphis Depay, a forward for Corinthians, publicly apologized after being convicted of drunk driving in Monaco. The 30-year-old player acknowledged his mistake and took full responsibility for his actions.
According to reports, Depay was arrested on August 6, 2024, after driving recklessly and testing positive in a breathalyzer test. Monaco’s justice system sentenced him to four months in prison, though the sentence was suspended.
Additionally, he must pay a fine of 9,000 euros and is banned from driving in the Principality for two years.
