Atlético: A Legacy of Unwavering Passion
The Metropolitano witnessed an emotional tribute to Atlético de Madrid’s most loyal members, those who have maintained their red and white passion for 25 uninterrupted years.
In a ceremony full of meaning, silver badges were presented to members who joined the club in the 1999/2000 season, recognizing their unconditional loyalty. President Enrique Cerezo led the event, welcoming the members and their companions.
The occasion was attended by Julián Alvarez, representing the current squad, a significant detail given that he himself was born in the season in which these members began their journey as Atlético fans.
Club legends such as Milinko Pantic, Roberto Frenedoso, Miguel Ángel Moyá, Leo Franco and Tomás Reñones also wanted to be present, expressing their gratitude to the members for their loyalty to Atlético. The former players highlighted the importance of the fans in the history and present of the club.
The ceremony, which culminated in a cocktail and a tour of the Metropolitano, was the second of two days dedicated to recognizing the club’s longest-serving members. Between both ceremonies, more than a thousand Atlético fans were honored, reaffirming the commitment and passion that characterize the red and white family.
