Atleti Legends: Emotion and Football in Mareo
A meeting full of nostalgia and good football was experienced in Mareo, where the legends of Atlético de Madrid faced their peers from Sporting de Gijón. The friendly match, played in the rain, brought together a hundred fans who enjoyed a clash that evoked great moments of the past.
Sporting took the victory by 2-1, in a match divided into two halves of 35 minutes. The Asturian goals came through Marcelino Elena and Rubén Blaya, while Atleti managed to momentarily equalize the score. The atmosphere was one of total camaraderie and reunion between players and fans.
For Sporting, names like the García Torre twins and Javi Fuego stood out. The Colchoneros expedition included the presence of Miguel de las Cuevas, who received the affection of the fans. Also present were Roberto Solozábal, José María Movilla, Cubillo, Roberto Fresnedoso and Martin Petrov.
