Simeone: An Impossible Dream for Inter?
After a tough defeat in the Champions League final, Inter Milan is in a moment of reflection. The disappointment of not winning Serie A, the Italian Cup, and the Champions League has led to questioning the continuity of their coach, Simone Inzaghi.
While the club has expressed its desire for him to stay, uncertainty surrounds his future. Faced with the difficulty of finding a suitable replacement, a name has emerged that excites the Inter fans: Diego Pablo Simeone.
The former ’nerazzurri’ player is a beloved figure at the club, but his arrival presents significant obstacles. His current commitment to Atlético de Madrid, with a contract until 2027, and his high salary (34 million euros per year) make his signing, for the moment, a practically unattainable dream.
For Inter, the incorporation of Simeone would represent a major coup, both at a sporting and symbolic level. However, the Argentine coach is completely focused on his project with Atlético de Madrid and does not seem willing to force his departure.
The possibility of seeing Simeone coaching Inter could only materialize in the future, once his contractual link with the ‘rojiblanco’ club has ended. For now, Atlético de Madrid fans can rest easy, the ‘Cholo’ will continue at the helm of their team.
