Atlético de Madrid secures Barrios with salary increase
Atlético de Madrid is determined to secure its young talent Pablo Barrios, 18, with a salary increase. The midfielder has gone from playing in Primera RFEF to the Absolute Selection as an Olympic champion and has participated in 70 games with the first team under Simeone’s command.
Barrios has adapted to the pivot and has completed seven of the nine games in which he has been available this season, despite suffering two injuries. Atlético is working to secure its academy player even more, with a clause superior to the 100 million and a salary increase that will triple its status, from one million annually to three.
Barrios has completed 326 passes in the League and has an 88.11% accuracy, the best midfielder on the team. In addition, he is the second player on the squad with the most recoveries, a total of 39. The future of Atlético is in his boots and the club is already moving to reward his evolution.
