Enzo Fernández and Atlético: A distant possibility?
The name of Enzo Fernández has been linked with Atlético Madrid in recent days, especially in Argentine media. The speculation began when the club posted a photo of Julián Alvarez and Fernández in the Argentina national team concentration.
Fernández is not entirely comfortable at Chelsea and would welcome a change of scenery, with Spain being one of his preferred destinations. However, Chelsea is not willing to give away the player for whom they paid 121 million euros in January 2023.
Atlético is looking for a ‘5’ for January, but at the moment it is impossible to carry out that operation. The only possibility in winter is that Chelsea would accept a loan to Atlético, something that does not currently convince the English. Enzo Fernández would be delighted to join Atlético alongside the Argentine clan, but it is very complicated for that to happen now.
