Le Normand nears return to Atlético de Madrid
French-born Spanish central defender Ibrahima Le Normand has started training with a helmet after suffering a head injury on September 29 in a match against Real Madrid.
The club’s plan is for him to be ready to play on December 1 against Alavés, but if he’s not ready, he’ll be back the following week in the Copa and Liga matches against Sevilla. His return will depend on the complete reabsorption of the edema in his head and the absence of any risk to his health. Physically, Le Normand is strong and ready to play, but he needs to get used to the helmet and start training in contact tasks.
