Koke: A Rojiblanco Legend Continues at the Metropolitano
Great news for the Atleti family! Koke, our captain and legend, will continue to defend the red and white for another season. The club and the player have reached an agreement to execute the annual clause that allows his renewal, extending his contract until June 30, 2026.
This news is a cause for celebration for all of us who love Atleti, as we will be able to continue enjoying his talent and leadership in the midfield. Koke, 33, has left an indelible mark on the club’s history, already accumulating 681 games defending our colors.
His debut dates back to 2009, and since then he has been a fundamental pillar in the team’s scheme, consolidating himself as an indisputable thanks to Simeone’s confidence. His vision of the game and ability to generate scoring opportunities have made him a key player, with 48 goals and 119 assists to his name.
His record is impressive, with two La Liga titles (2014 and 2021), one Copa del Rey (2013), two Europa League titles (2012 and 2018), two European Super Cups (2013 and 2019) and two Spanish Super Cups (2014 and 2015).
