Atlético de Madrid remains far from Barça and Madrid in audiovisual revenues
Barcelona tops the audiovisual revenue table at the end of the 2023-2024 season, followed by Real Madrid, Atlético de Madrid and Sevilla, according to the amounts resulting from the distribution of LaLiga after the adjustments of the CVC Impulse Plan.
LaLiga provided the data corresponding to the last season, in which the Catalan team tops the table with 162.49 million euros, followed by Real Madrid with 159.55, Atlético de Madrid with 117.89 and Sevilla with 72.49.
The Royal Decree-Law establishes that a percentage will be distributed among the participants of each category equally and that the amount to be distributed will be 50% in the First Division and at least 70% in the Second Division.
The remaining amount will be distributed variably according to sports results and social implementation. According to sports results, in the First Division, the results of the last five seasons will be taken into account, weighting those obtained in the last one 35%, in the penultimate one 20% and in each of the three previous ones 15%.
In the Second Division, only the last season will be taken into account. Social implementation applies the following criteria: one third by the revenue in subscriptions and average box office of the last five seasons and the other two thirds by its participation in the generation of resources through the commercialization of television broadcasts.
These criteria are applied in accordance with the agreements duly approved by the respective Divisional Sports Committees of each category -First Division Committee 4 August 2023-. The regulation establishes that the difference between the clubs and entities that earn the most and the other clubs and entities that earn the least cannot be more than 3.5 times.
