Salim El Jebari loaned to Cartagena
Atlético de Madrid have announced on Friday that Salim El Jebari has been loaned to Cartagena until the end of the season. The young Spanish-Moroccan arrived at the Atlético academy in 2018 and made his debut with the first team last season in a match against Cádiz.
This season was expected to be important for him in the team’s reserve squad, but an injury and lack of confidence from coach Fernando Torres have changed his situation. With a contract until 2026 with Atlético, Cartagena presents itself as a good option for him to continue growing and take a step forward in his career. The Murcian team, which has just been taken over by coach Guillermo Fernández Romo, has many urgent needs, as they are currently bottom of the Second Division and have salvation 15 points away.
