Lenglet, the loan player who can give Atlético the victory against Barça
The French central defender Clément Lenglet, on loan from Barcelona, has found his place in Atlético de Madrid. After waiting for his chance from the bench, Le Normand’s injury opened the doors of the starting eleven and he has settled next to Giménez in the four-man defense.
Lenglet has been a starter in 11 of the last 12 games in which he has been available, has scored two goals, contributes in the ball outlet and has provided solidity to the defense. Now, Atlético hopes that he will be decisive in the direct duel against Barça that can leave the red-and-whites at the top of the league table at the end of 2024.
