Le Normand aims for the Cup... as a starter
Robin Le Normand, Atlético de Madrid defender, is in the final stages of his recovery after an injury suffered in the match against Real Madrid on September 29th. After completing several phases in his recovery process, Le Normand trained with the rest of the team and participated with the starters in the first test for Cacereño.
Atlético returned to training thinking about the match against Cacereño this Thursday, in the Copa del Rey. Simeone will make changes in the lineup and Le Normand could be in it. The problem for Le Normand is that he returns when the team is at a good level and everyone is playing perfectly.
Simeone has used Giménez and Lenglet in defense and both have had good performances. Part of the fan base questioned Lenglet’s level when Atlético signed him, but the truth is that he has played well and has responded to what was expected of him in the red-and-white team.
Le Normand returns when the team is strong in defense. The defender has missed twelve games. Seven in La Liga, three in the Champions League and one in the Copa del Rey. It starts a week that could be key for the Atlético defender, who had started his journey in the red-and-white team with a good foot.
