Julián Alvarez, the only Atlético player in the Champions League team of the week
Atlético de Madrid put on a show on Tuesday at the Generali Arena against Sparta Prague, winning 0-6. Despite the team’s outstanding performance, only Julián Alvarez was included in the UEFA Champions League team of the week.
The Argentine striker scored two goals, one from a direct free kick and the other after a run from the center of the field and a wall with Giuliano Simeone. Alvarez was named MVP of the match and is also nominated for Champions League player of the week.
