Atletico Madrid: Four players can negotiate with other clubs from January 1
The winter market opens and four Atletico Madrid players can commit to other clubs for next season: Koke, Reinildo, Witsel and Azpilicueta. Koke, the captain, has a unique clause and could extend his contract for another year.
Azpilicueta and Witsel have performed well, but their veteran status weighs on the balance. Reinildo has had less prominence since his knee injury and could look for a new destination. Atletico will negotiate an extension for those players whose contracts expire on June 30 to extend their stay until the end of the Club World Cup.
