Atlético's Madrilenian Soul Celebrates San Isidro

Atlético de Madrid joins the celebration of San Isidro, the most traditional festival in the capital, demonstrating once again its roots and commitment to the city. Koke, the Rojiblanco captain, along with Barrios and Lino, dressed up as chulapos to pay tribute to this emblematic celebration.

In an initiative by Mahou Cinco Estrellas, the Madrilenian beer, the players shared their memories and emotions linked to San Isidro, evoking moments from their childhood and the joy that this festival brings to the city.

Koke, a true Madrilenian, confessed that San Isidro transports him to his childhood, to the days when he visited La Pradera. He highlighted the festival’s ability to unite people of all ages, creating a festive and familiar atmosphere.

For his part, Barrios highlighted the importance of music, especially the sound of the organillo, which reminds him of people dressed as chulapos and the vibrant atmosphere that is experienced during the celebration.

Lino also joined in the praise, highlighting the special atmosphere that is breathed in Madrid during San Isidro. The Mahou Cinco Estrellas initiative, which also included the participation of players from other Madrid clubs, seeks to honor the city and its traditions.
