Koke Steps Up Preparation for Barcelona Clash
Great news for the Red and White fans! Koke, our captain, is giving it his all to return to the field as soon as possible. Despite the team enjoying a well-deserved day off after the match against Real Madrid, Koke was seen in Majadahonda training alone, demonstrating his commitment and desire to be 100% for Atlético de Madrid.
Under the supervision of physical trainer Óscar Pitillas, Koke performed exercises involving changes of pace and shooting on goal. Remember that the captain was injured in the match against Celta at the Metropolitano on February 15, and has since been working hard on his recovery.
Despite rejoining the group and even being part of the squad for the Champions League match, Simeone preferred not to take risks. However, Koke showed his support from the sidelines, even advising Pablo Barrios during extra time.
El Cholo, aware of Koke’s importance, has expressed the need to be cautious with his return, although he recognizes his enormous desire to play again. Everything points to Koke being available for the crucial match against Barcelona this Sunday.
His return would be a great boost for the team. Although it is not yet clear whether Simeone will give him minutes, his presence on the bench is already a morale boost for everyone. We are with you, captain!
