Simeone praises Atlético's play and celebrates fifth place in the Champions League
Atlético de Madrid coach Diego Simeone was very pleased with his team’s performance in their 0-5 win over RB Salzburg in the final matchday of the Champions League group stage.
Simeone highlighted the team’s contundency and high rhythm in the first 30 minutes, as well as the importance of the substitutions to maintain energy and regenerate the team. The Cholo also praised Griezmann’s play, who was named MVP of the match, and was happy with the team’s fifth place finish in the group stage, although he warned that the team must be prepared to face strong opponents in the round of 16.
