Mario Hermoso close to leaving Roma and joining Bayer Leverkusen
Mario Hermoso left Atlético de Madrid on June 30 after his contract expired. He received a renewal offer that was rejected and did not hear from the club again. He eventually joined Roma in September, but has not had many opportunities to play.
Now, if nothing goes wrong, he will join Bayer Leverkusen on loan until the end of the season, with the Germans covering his salary. Coach Xabi Alonso wants to strengthen the defense and believes Hermoso can adapt quickly to the team and provide immediate performance.
