Three former Atlético de Madrid players in Valladolid
Atlético de Madrid will visit Valladolid this Saturday at 21:00. Within the Pucela squad, there are three footballers who have defended the Atlético shield throughout their careers: Amath Ndiaye, Iván Sánchez and Mario Maroto.
Amath Ndiaye was a regular in Simeone’s training sessions, but never made his debut with the first team and was loaned out to Tenerife. He later played for Getafe, Mallorca and finally returned to Valladolid, where he trained before joining Atlético in lower categories.
Iván Sánchez also stood out in the Atlético reserve team, but never had the chance to play for the first team and had to continue his career at other clubs. Finally, Mario Maroto is currently in Valladolid Promesas and last season he played for the Atlético reserve team. If he is called up, he will meet Tevenet who was his coach.
