Schlager: 'It's a challenge to face the best in the world, we want to do well'
Red Bull Salzburg goalkeeper Alexander Schlager has described Wednesday’s Champions League group stage clash with Atlético Madrid as a ‘difficult task’. The Austrian side has a lot of respect for the Rojiblancos, whom they consider ‘one of the favourites’.
Schlager has recalled the game against Real Madrid at the Bernabéu, in which the visitors had a good start but couldn’t hold out against the power of Los Blancos. The goalkeeper has assured that his team will try to maintain their level for longer and compete with the best. ‘It’s always something special when you have the chance to play against the best players in the world and we want to do very well as a team’, he added.
