Miguel de las Cuevas: A Farewell Full of Memories and Passion
Miguel de las Cuevas, a name that brings back memories and emotion in the world of football, has announced his retirement after a career filled with passion and dedication. Trained at Agustinos de Alicante, De las Cuevas made his debut with Hércules at the age of 16, showing his talent early on.
His outstanding performance in the 04-05 season, with 32 games and 3 goals, helped the team win promotion to Segunda División. His potential caught the attention of Atlético de Madrid, who signed him for 500,000 euros, although his time at the club was brief.
Nevertheless, De las Cuevas stood out at Sporting de Gijón, where he experienced some of the best moments of his career, including a memorable goal at the Bernabéu. He later played for Osasuna, Spezia, Córdoba, and Orihuela, leaving his mark on each team. With over 500 games and goals in all categories of Spanish football, De las Cuevas bids farewell with an emotional message: ‘Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey.
