From demanding Wirtz's second yellow to Hincapié's expulsion
In the second half of the match, the Metropolitano was furious with referee Davide Massa for not showing the second yellow to Florian Wirtz after a foul on Julián Alvarez. The tension also took over the red and white players and the bench, but the Italian referee did not give in. Shortly after, Piero Hincapié was sent off after bringing down Giuliano Simeone on the goal line, leaving both teams with ten players on the field.
