Giuliano and Griezmann lead Atlético to Champions League round of 16
Giuliano Simeone, son of coach Diego Simeone, proved his worth with a goal and an assist in Atlético de Madrid’s victory over Salzburg (0-2), securing their place in the Champions League round of 16. Antoine Griezmann was also key with a brace, reaching 16 goals this season.
Koke, meanwhile, returned to the starting lineup and showed his importance to the team. Salzburg, with a weak defense, could not compete with Atlético. The red and white team won their fifth consecutive game in the European competition.
