Red and White Comeback in Alicante! U-19s Defeat Norway
The Spanish U-19 national team, with Colchonero protagonism, achieved an important victory against Norway in a friendly match played at the José Rico Pérez stadium in Alicante. The team, prepared for Round 2 of qualification for the European Championship, demonstrated character and the ability to react.
Despite an early goal from the Norwegians, Spain did not back down and quickly found the equalizer thanks to Óscar Marcos, a Celta player, who took advantage of a rebound from the goalkeeper.
The goal gave wings to the team, which shortly after, in the 20th minute, took the lead with a goal from Omar Janneh, a young talent from Atlético de Madrid. Janneh demonstrated his goalscoring instinct by anticipating the defense and precisely finishing a pass from the wing.
In the second half, the U-19s controlled the game and generated several scoring chances, but the result remained unchanged. The match served for the coach to test different players and tactical variants for the upcoming commitments.
