Atlético de Madrid joins the fight against childhood cancer
Atlético de Madrid, true to its social commitment, has joined the Pañuelo Challenge 24-25 solidarity campaign of the Aladina Foundation, once again demonstrating its most human side and its unconditional support for children and adolescents fighting cancer.
The Rojiblanco club, together with other teams from the First and Second Division, has activated this initiative in its stadium, the Metropolitano, with the aim of raising funds for this noble cause.
Atlético fans have had the opportunity to collaborate by purchasing Aladina Foundation bracelets at the stadium’s various points of sale, thus helping to reach the funding goal for the scholarship program for young oncologists.
This campaign, which has been running for more than 200 days, seeks to raise awareness among society about the impact of childhood and adolescent cancer, and the challenges faced by both patients and their families.
In addition to the sale of bracelets, Atlético de Madrid players have actively participated in the Escort Kids initiative, walking onto the field hand in hand with children suffering from the disease.
This emotional gesture gives them the opportunity to experience a special moment with their idols, filling them with joy and hope before the start of the match.
The Aladina Foundation has been providing comprehensive support to sick children and their families in hospitals throughout Spain for two decades, and Atlético de Madrid’s collaboration represents an important boost to continue their work. The Rojiblanco club is always committed to social causes, showing its unconditional support to those who need it most.
