Atlético de Madrid returns to La Rosaleda in the Copa del Rey
Fate has brought together Marbella and Atlético de Madrid in the 1/16 finals of the Copa del Rey. The match will be played on January 4 at 21:30 hours at La Rosaleda, the first stadium where ‘Cholo’ Simeone defended the Atlético shield as a coach.
The choice of stadium is due to the fact that it will be broadcast on TVE and that Marbella’s usual stadiums do not meet the necessary requirements. La Rosaleda, with a capacity for 30,000 spectators, will be a World Cup stadium in 2030.
