Atléticos by heart: A high-voltage derby
Atlético de Madrid earned a valuable point in their visit to the Bernabéu, in a vibrant derby where the Colchoneros fans played a fundamental role. Around 600 unconditional Rojiblancos traveled to cheer on the team, demonstrating once again their passion and commitment.
The effort was remarkable, both personally and economically, given the high cost of the tickets. Some fans shared their experience at the stadium, highlighting the exhaustive security control at the entrance, which included thorough checks and even the confiscation of personal items.
The measures, according to some testimonies, were more rigorous than usual in league matches, possibly due to the high tension of the match and the presence of foreign police authorities. Once inside, the experience was not without peculiarities.
The location of the bathrooms forced visiting fans to mingle with the local fans, creating some discomfort. In addition, the restrictions in the visiting area made access to food and drinks difficult. Despite these difficulties, the Atlético fans made themselves felt with their incessant encouragement. After the match, the fans were escorted by the police to Plaza Castilla, bringing an end to an intense and emotional day. Another derby that demonstrates the unwavering loyalty of the Rojiblancos fans.
