Atlético de Madrid legends relive the conquest of the 2010 Europa League
The auditorium of the Riyadh Air Metropolitano hosted the X edition of ‘Encuentro con Leyendas’, which focused on the conquest of the 2010 Europa League by the red and white team.
Antonio López, Ignacio Camacho and Raúl García shared with Atlético fans their memories and experiences about the achievement of a tournament in which they won the final 2-1 against Fulham thanks to two goals from Diego Forlán.
The protagonists shared their experiences of that season, in which the red and white team overcame elimination rounds against rivals such as Galatasaray, Sporting de Portugal, Valencia or Liverpool. The former players highlighted the sense of belonging and sacrifice as keys to the team’s success, and recalled the massive celebration that was lived in the streets of Madrid after the conquest of the title.
