Alavés confident in their potential against Atletico Madrid
Deportivo Alavés player Carlos Vicente said that they should not be afraid of ‘anyone’, although he acknowledged that Atletico Madrid ‘is a good team’. The Aragonese pointed out that they will fight ‘without complexes’ at the Metropolitano and expressed confidence in Alavés’ ability to compete because they can ‘hurt all teams’.
However, he emphasized that they are focusing on themselves, ‘correcting their own mistakes’ and what depends on them. Regarding the tactical aspect of the red-and-white rival, he said that ‘for a winger it changes a bit how to approach a defense of five or four’.
