Odegaard Excited About Possible Reunion in Madrid
Martin Odegaard, the current Arsenal midfielder, has expressed his excitement about the possibility of facing a Madrid club in the Champions League quarter-finals. The Norwegian, with a past in Real Madrid’s youth academy, admitted that returning to the Spanish capital would be “special”.
Despite the excitement generated by a possible clash, Odegaard remains cautious and focused on the present. He stressed the importance of completing the task at hand with Arsenal before thinking about future clashes.
“First we have to finish the job at home and then we’ll see who we get,” declared the Gunners captain. Odegaard arrived at Real Madrid in 2015 at just 16 years old, playing eleven games with the first team. After several loan spells, he joined Arsenal in 2021, where he has become a key player. The player fondly remembers his time in Madrid and does not hide his desire to set foot on the Madrid pitch again, whether against Real Madrid or Atlético. However, he insists that the priority is Arsenal and advancing in the Champions League.
