Atletico Madrid seek Copa del Rey quarter-final spot at La Rosaleda
Atletico Madrid will face Marbella at La Rosaleda in search of a place in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals. The match has a special significance for our coach, Diego Pablo Simeone, as it was the first stadium he visited as a Rojiblanco coach 13 years ago.
Our team arrives at this tie after eliminating Vic (0-2) and Cacereño (1-3), while the Andalusians have overcome Bergantiños (1-2) and Burgos (1-0). The Costa del Sol team is in Group 2 of Primera RFEF, the same as our second team. Atletico will seek a place in the quarter-finals in a packed stadium and with a large Rojiblanco representation in the stands, with the aim of adding a thirteenth consecutive victory in all competitions.
