Atleti B: Bitter-sweet draw against the leader
Atlético de Madrid B rescued a valuable 2-2 draw on their visit to the leader, Antequera, in an emotion-filled match. Despite the good result, the taste in the mouth is bittersweet, as the Colchoneros reached the 90th minute with a 1-2 lead.
The match started uphill for Torres’ team, with an early penalty goal from Antequera. However, the Rojiblanco affiliate showed character and resilience. Just before the break, Boñar equalized, injecting morale into the team.
In the second half, and after Rayane’s injury, Atleti B continued to fight and found its reward with a penalty converted by Niño, making it 1-2 on the scoreboard. The team knew how to contain Antequera’s attacks for much of the second half and even had the opportunity to sentence the match in a counterattack.
However, in the last breath, Pol Roigé achieved the draw for Antequera, leaving Atleti B with a bitter taste. This point allows the team to remain in Play-off positions. Despite the final draw, Atleti B showed their claw and ability to compete against a direct rival, making it clear that they will fight for promotion places until the end.
