Oblak, the derby hero

The Slovenian made eight saves, some of them truly remarkable. He is having a great season, having recovered his best level and is fighting to win another Zamora Trophy. If he achieves one more, he would become the goalkeeper with the most awards of this type in the history of the competition.
Atlético is the team with the fewest goals conceded in the competition, with 15 goals, thanks in part to the good defensive game they played in the derby. Oblak was especially inspired from the 70th minute, when Real Madrid’s chances increased, and made outstanding saves, such as one from a free kick and a one-on-one with Mbappé. His great performance allowed Atlético to take a point from the derby and maintain their good moment in the competition.
