Atleti Women: Legends, Stands and Fight
The Metropolitano is preparing to host a new edition of ‘Atleti en Femenino’, an event that celebrates the crucial role of women in the red and white world. Organized by the Peña Las Colchoneras and the Asociación Los 50, the day promises to be a vibrant and emotional meeting.
The event, which will be held on March 18, will feature the presence of prominent representatives of Atleti fan clubs, who will share their experiences and passion for the team in a round table moderated by Patricia Cazón.
They will discuss the culture of the stands and the fervor that unites the fans. The ‘Diferentemente iguales’ project, led by Miriam Gutiérrez and Jero García, will address the fight against violence in various forms, from bullying to gender violence, sharing a message of overcoming and resilience.
In addition, ‘Women who are Legend’ of the women’s team will participate in a dialogue moderated by Mónica Crespo, where they will remember historical moments and share their legacy in the club.
During the event, the Rubén Caravaca Award will be presented to Paloma del Río, in recognition of her work in promoting values such as rebellion, fraternity and love for sports. One of the most emotional moments will be the presentation of the Almudena Grandes Award, which honors the sporting career of a woman who has left an indelible mark on Atlético de Madrid. In previous editions, this award has gone to figures such as Priscila Borja and María Vargas.
