Atlético de Madrid has secured a place in the Champions League round of 16, guaranteeing over 80 million euros in revenue. The team had a difficult start to the competition, but managed to turn things around and finish in the top 8.
The sporting results have been key to this achievement, with six wins in the group stage bringing in 12.6 million euros. In addition, finishing fifth in the group has earned the team 8.8 million euros. The team is already guaranteed 11 million euros for reaching the round of 16 and could earn more if they progress further in the competition. They will also receive a share of the new market pool, estimated to be around 20 million euros.
