Clashes between Atlético de Madrid and Málaga CF ultras
The prelude to the match between Marbella and Atlético de Madrid in the Copa del Rey has been marred by incidents and clashes caused by the Frente Atlético in the streets of Málaga. The Atlético de Madrid ultras, who arrived in the city escorted by the police, have caused disturbances in a zone near La Rosaleda stadium.
The incidents were provoked when members of the Frente Atlético and unidentified Málaga CF ultras met in the vicinity of Calle Rosario Pino. Images show chairs being thrown from a bar where ordinary fans were also present, who quickly moved away from the brawl.
Videos of the police intervention are already circulating on social media. The match, which was not highlighted as a high-risk game, will be played today at 21:30 and around 30,000 people are expected to attend the game.
