Security measures for Atlético-Slovan match
A total of 1,100 police and emergency personnel will ensure the safety of the Champions League match between Atlético de Madrid and SK Slovan Bratislava at the Metropolitano Stadium.
The operation, which will monitor the areas surrounding the stadium to prevent incidents, will be made up of agents from the National Police, including the Intervention Unit (UIP), the Special Cavalry Unit, and the Provincial Information Brigade.
Members of the Madrid Municipal Police, traffic agents from the capital’s City Council, Samur-Civil Protection, firefighters from the City Council, Red Cross members, and security guards and assistants from the red and white club will also participate. The Delegation expects an attendance of 1,100 fans with tickets in a stadium that has a capacity of 70,460 people, so attendees are advised to arrive early to pass the security checks before the match, which will start at 18:45.
