Atlético Madrid Prepares for the Derby with Intensity
Atlético Madrid has begun training for the upcoming derby against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu.
With a tight schedule, the team has split its preparation into two groups: on one hand, the starters from the Copa del Rey match against Getafe did physical work and ball drills for half an hour; on the other hand, the rest of the players participated in a more intense session, which included a friendly match against a youth team.
Riquelme and Lemar were absent due to illness and specific training, respectively. Diego Simeone is keeping the starting lineup a secret, although Giménez will replace the suspended Le Normand. The only doubts are at right-back, between Molina and Llorente, and on the left side of midfield, with Gallagher and Lino as options. The rest of the team seems to be set.
