Fer López Shines at the Metropolitano

Atlético de Madrid is closely monitoring Fer López, a young talent from Celta de Vigo, after his outstanding performance in the recent match at the Metropolitano.

Despite the 1-1 draw in a game complicated by the early dismissal of Pablo Barrios, the presence of the 20-year-old offensive midfielder did not go unnoticed by the Atlético management.

Fer López, a Celta youth player standing at 1.90 meters and a quality left-footer, demonstrated great talent and confidence on the pitch. His name was already on the list of potential reinforcements for Atlético, and his live performance reaffirmed the good impressions he had previously generated.

Born in Madrid, Fer López has consistently progressed through Celta’s youth academy, where he currently plays for the reserve team in Primera RFEF, accumulating four goals and three assists in fifteen games.

His debut with the first team came under Claudio Giráldez, both in the Copa del Rey, where he scored two goals, and in LaLiga against Mallorca. After overcoming an ankle sprain, Fer López has regained his place in the plans of the Galician coach, playing his fifth game in the top flight against Atlético. With a contract until 2028, the young player is fulfilling his dream of playing in the First Division with Celta, and his promising growth has attracted the attention of important clubs, including Atlético de Madrid, who will closely follow his evolution.
